Job Description

Brafton is searching for a freelance Dutch-language writer with strong knowledge of SEO to join our talented team of writers. B2B insurance and/or finance subject matter expertise a big plus. As an organisation, we provide a range of content marketing services, so you will be working within an agile team and should be able to write for a variety of clients in different industries.

Strong English comprehension and communication skills are required for this role to enable effective collaboration with coworkers in the UK and the US.

As a freelance writer, you will produce strong, creative, and industry-specific pieces of content for our clients’ digital content marketing campaigns. An understanding of SEO is essential.

As this is an ongoing freelance opportunity, it may involve keyword research, translations, localization, and writing.

Essential Job Functions

• Research, create, revise and deliver high-quality content to clients according to specified deadlines.
• Work with Project Managers and Content Marketing Strategists to ensure content meets client expectations and project requirements.
• Virtually attend project, client and team meetings as needed.
• Conduct keyword research and craft SEO briefs.
• Translate existing copy from English to Dutch.
• Apply localization to translations.
• Track writing and editing production work weekly in our in-house project management system.

Skills & Requirements

• 1-3 years of professional Dutch writing experience.
• A related University degree.
• Experience with SEO and keyword research.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with extreme attention to detail.
• Comprehensive understanding of SEO and best practices for branded writing.
• Strong, efficient research abilities and ability to quickly learn and write about complex subjects.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
• A creative approach to client briefs.
• A self-starter able to work independently and in collaboration in a fully remote environment.
• Knowledge of AP (Associated Press) Style is a plus.
